This afternoons torrential down pour has caused the pop up Rover/Webasto sunroof to leak on my 93 sprite and I now have a rather soggy passenger seat!! I'm assuming that it's the 17 year old seal that is the problem and I'm not sure how I might get hold of a new one (if at all). I'm tempted to seal it shut with black silicone as it doesn't get much use any way, but that just seems a bit too much of a "bodge" for me!

So what are the other options, other than to replace the whole roof panel and headlining with a non sunroof version?? Has anybody had similar problems??

Same problem here on my 1983 sprite. Soggy passenger seat, been doing it for a while. Not really found a solution I want to do yet!

there's someone on ebay selling new Webasto roof fabric, not sure if it includes the seals, might be worth a call....

Is it the small sunroof which just opens an inch or two? If so, as you pull the handle down it pulls the sunroof in a bit tighter, so if you tape a spacer behind the handle so it's pulled down slightly, it might stop leaking - it worked on mine!

I'm not sure how neat it ends up though. Anyone seen one fitted?

Yes it is the pop up type, trouble is that it leaking from the front edge around one of the hinges, so if you pull the handle down to form a tighter seal at the back it opens up a bigger gap at the front resulting in a bigger leak..... but it was worth a try so thanks any way!!!
