after fitting a boost gauge on to my suck throught supercharger setup i just want to double check that i have to put it in the supercharger manifold and do i have to put a take off in both branches of the manifold or just one?

Just about to do the same. My take it is off the flat plate on the manifold directly under the charger. If you think about it the pressure will be the same wherever you plumb it in on the manifold. So in answer to your question, one should be fine
