Please be aware that we have a conman who uses this Forum to take your money but fails to deliver the goods - theft basically. I have now given up emailing him as I have done it that often have lost count. I have only lost £40 but another member Ministox? has lost £100. The name to be aware of is minimad andy. This notice is to make you very wary of this scumbag, so the same doesn't befall you. You have been warned.

Hope your both OK.If something is Very Wrong on Anything Post the Team or Admins.They as said above will check things for you and fast.Good Luck.We all do a lot on trust shame some do not do the same.

Thanks for your e-mail. I can't remember which section of Mini Forum classifieds this bloke actually had his original advert on. The Ad basically went along the lines of wiring looms made to order in whatever colour etc he having worked as an auto electrician etc. I contacted him, said I was only interested in the front part of the loom and not the complete loom. He quoted me £40 and I paid him via Paypal. I initially got replies from him as he stated that his supplier had let him down with some bits and then the emails just stopped despite me sending him loads. I can supply every email if you wish as I have kept them.
I don't want other people to get ripped off. Apparently ministox7 has paid this chap £100 for some rockers that haven't arrived either.

is there no way you can take the matter up with paypal. paypal say they are there to help with disputes. whats the harm in contacting them. even if you dont get your monies back they might remove him from their listings, which in turn stops him from robbing others.

I've sent andy a message on Facebook, hopefully he will come in and explain what's going on.
I know andy, and this really doesn't sound like him, to be honest he isn't the kind of guy to do this, which leaves me concerned that someone is using his ID to offer products and services ???

We have a few members with very similar usernames - With various hyphens, underscores, spaces etc. We need to make sure here that no-one is getting wrongly accused, due to the username.

"minimad andy" not "mini mad andy"

That's a relief , the andy I know would never do anythingvlike this, but it does concern me that rogues are possibly creating usernames very similar to trusted and well known folks as a means to a dodgy end ???

Yup the chap in question isn't Andy(who had his car burn out on him recently). If all the parties involved can send me some details I can look ino it. Am on hols at the mo so am limited.

Thanks everybody for all your help & advice. As I said I have only lost 40 quid but Ministox7 at the moment is apparently 100 quid down. I apologise if I am accusing the wrong minimad andy - sorry. It sounds as though he his possibly using genuine user names I don't know. I have contacted Paypal, but it looks a no goer, as its over 45 days since payment. I made payment to a Adrian Thomas (or should I say he uses the name Adrian Thomas) He also may be the same person as a Andy Marks. This is who claims was making the loom. He / they use an email address [email protected] and I believe he / they are from the Leamington area. If anyone knows either of the above who claims/is an auto electrician, I and certainly ministox7 would like to pay them a visit, or get them to contact either of us. I will not give up until I've got my money back - its the principle. These forums are run on trust. It only takes something like this to ruin the good reputation of the majority of genuine people out there.
I hope this post stops anyone else losing money.
