I attended the North Devon grand Tour this year, again.
Not many people on the Mini scene in the rest of the country are really aware of what it's all about yet it is the best event on the mini calendar.
Imagine 300 Mini's in convoy through the picturesque villages of North Devon, road closed by volunteer motorbike marshalls, collecting money for local childrens hospices as you go.
Throw in the camping with your mates it makes one hell of an experience.
In my opinion beats the London To Brighton for organisation with ease.
Here's a few vidoes taken from my Cooper at various points throughout the weekend, link to the first one below, the rest are similarly named on You Tube.

Its always on the August bank holiday weekend.
We have done it for the last 4 years, if i could only go to one show
all year it would be the grand tour with out a doubt.

It's certainly the biggest & best run in this area. Everyone who has been on it says it's a moving experience (no pun intended
). Unfortunately it's so successful that it is being restricted to 250 minis. There is also something happening with the police -- where they used to be helpful and smiley they are now picky and often obstructive. They have the final say.
Nice video there. A few pixs here.
