I want to remove my rear seats for weight saving but want to carpet the metal for looks. My car is a78' clubman and legaly i dont need rear seatbelts. Will it still be legal to have people in the back for short trips without seat cushions?

I don't think it makes a difference the basic shape will still be there so I shouldn't see a problem with that

well the MOT states that the rear seats must be fixed, how ever this only a Advisery if they are not fixed properly on the Mot sheet :]

so to be quite honest there shouldn't be a problem with it, just be Uncomfy :)
