hi my mini was hit on friday night and caused damaged i decided to look at it today i pushed it out of the garages and there was this scraping noise coming from the left front wheel when i turn the steering wheel also i noticed there was about a inch circle on the floor of oil could this be due to me driving it with out an exhaust on? as it never leaked before also i opened the bonnet to see what the noise was and when you turn the steering wheels the subframe moves side to side why is this can it be fixed?

are all the subframe bolts tight? subframe mounts good condition? might be worth checking and tightening all the bolts. as for the oil leak cant say unless i look at it, might be able to pop over again soon and take a look?

my front subbie moved, i solid mounted the front subframe to stop that, made the steering feel so much more direct and responsive, and feels so much better in corners.

i dont think having the exhaust off would cause an oil leak, unless u can actually feel oil coming out the y piece of the exhaust?
