you can use metro brakes but you shouldn't use metro hubs. they put the suspension geometry out.

The best disk brakes for a mini are the ones it's supplied with if it is a road going one... ( unless it's a mk1 cooper with7 inch disks where you would be better sticking your foot out the door to slow it down )

You can swap to 4 pot calipers, either alloy or Metro, and vented disks if you want..
but you'll not notice much difference until you realy start to push the car, when the venting will obvously help to keep disk temperature down, and therefore reduce brake fade.

The debate on which pads and disk style to use is a long one, and is more open to personal preference and application. For a road going everyday mini then Mintex pads and std disks are perfectly up to the job, for the more aggressive driver maybe EBC Black Stuff should be considered.... or for the trackday mob, Green Stuff..

I agree with that, I used metro hubs with fully adjustable suspension, still not as good !!!

I do know that a lot of the MIGLIAS use metro hubs :erm:

Any benefit in braking MUST be backed up by suspension and wheel & tyre upgrades....

one option (which i went for) which is easier to source the metro brakes are Honda civic vented disc brakes ( http://joltfreak.tripod.com )

Damn those spacers are HUGE! Will those disks fit under 10" wheels though?
