Hi all, I'm after any sources of good info on the classic mk1 cooper s rally mini's but not having any luck so far

I have bought "the Illustrated history of the Works Minis" book which is great for all the history, but not much in there showing any of the technical stuff, I want pics of the engine bays, dashboard, interiors etc etc

Many thanks

Here's a couple of interior shots. The first two are from a works replica, and the third is the dash from LBL 6D. If you want to get up close to a couple of works cars there are two or three on display at Gaydon most of the time.

Excellent thanks guys, love the interior pics too :)

The only downside to the classic dash like that is than now we have to wear full harnesses there's no way on earth I/we/driver & co-pilot could ever reach the switches! In my last one I could only just reach the battery isolator with my finger tips and that was stuck out about 6" from the dash rails on an ugly folded ally dash! Bit of a bummer this one...

Also, wouldn't the original works minis have had the cooper s twin airbox instead of trumpets or pancake filters? They would never have gone rallying without some kind of filter with all the dust and rubbish kicked up in those events, wire gauze wouldn't cut it!
