As the title says My mini veers to the left (slightly) when driving normally, and when braking it veers to the right, the veering to the right whilst braking has only been recent since the steering rack gaitor was changed, although i don't see how this would of affected anything.

could i possibly have some information about wheel alignment or a simple fix that can do the job?

thanks

sounds like left passenger side caliper siezed or partially working if its slightly on during normal driving it will veer to the left but when you brake as all the effort goes to the right caliper it will pull right

I would suggest jacking up each corner of the car and looking for play in the stearing and suspension components. I could be anything from lose bushing in the tie rod, worn ball joints, your steering rack could be loose, yoour rear trailing arms could be loose. In essence what you are describing sounds like it is coming from the front end mainly, as you give it throttle the front wheels want to move forward tracking to one direction, as you brake they try to move rearwards changing the direction...

I would focus on the right front wheel as it sounds where the play is. Jack up and look for play.

Also, not trying to teach you how to suck eggs here but make sure apart from the above your tyre pressures are equal both sides

how do you suck eggs kam? I normally end up breaking them... Lol

but yes, check tyre pressures first, then start moving onto geometry, such as tracking and castor angles.
