anyone else with any info on the engine colour? hmm i havent seen 1 like it before

How many mini engines have you seen?? :tongue:

I'm pretty sure red was the standard 1275 engine colour, carb or inj, ask Mini_sprocket or scurvy.

Where all Injection Dizzys there??? I thought injection has electronic ignition where dizzys wernt needed and was up near the head not down there where carb ones are... or am i being stupid.

SPIs have a normal dizzy,
MPIs have distributorless systems

Dizzy is still needed I think. As for the think about being near the head, I can only think your getting mixed up with the alternator? This was mounted on the head on MPis?


I'm probably wrong though?

Well it depends if its the original engine or not, chances are if you car is quite old its had a different engine at some point or at least its engine re-painted.

ok thx, I was just wondering, since im new, and my 998 is red, maybe its not a 998 as the seller claims, hehe i'll take pictures anyway

Xiao bin what is the engine number because you can tell from that what size it is.

Hey bought my 1st thing for the mini yesterday a set of Vibe qb69 i am going to mount them in an under seat speaker board running them off an alpine 350watt amp i had in my shed should sound great will post pics when theyre in the car

and by the way they only cost me £5 because they had all dust and stuff in them hoovered it out now :w00t:
