Hello there,

Found myself in a bit of a pickle. I'm driving a 1996 SPI Equinox mini, I'm just converting to carbs and putting a flip front on.

Although, as i get more restless of it being off the road. I've been researching and i'm thinking of having a change of heart.

I'm thinking of going back to my SPI fueling system and maybe going along the lines of a vmax supercharger kit. With my car only being 1 of 750 made i'm finding it very confusing what to go for. I dunno if its just the old teenage hormones kicking in but something inside is telling me to go back to the SPI and keep the originality of the car instead of molesting it with changing to carbs and getting rid of the injection.

Also, the supercharger kit works on basic engine with no mods or improvements needed.

Can anyone of you guys add a point of view or opinion? Help me decide?

Cheers

you have hacked off the front and now worried about it not being original because it's not a SPI engine :)

I would keep it spi with the charger if its an every day car and you are happy with the power output of that conversion without wanting to get much more from the engine...

keep the SPi mate, MOT's will be a lot of hassle if you just change it all around, plus I'VE found the SPi to be very reliable and easily tune-able and needs no setting up (to an extent)
