Hi,

on saturday i'm going to swap my 78' standard hubs drums without spacers to later spacer drums with the taper roller bearings. All it is really is what do i need to do? I've an idea, but any help would be appreciated. Do i have to take the backplates off the swinging arm, or does the hub come off leaving the backplates on?

Thanks very much

Tom

Undo the castle nut under the cap in the centre of the hub, take the drive flange off with the studs it, put the new flange on with the longer studs for the spacerred drum, tighten the castle nut back up and jobs dune...

dont forget that the hub nut on the passenger side has a lefthand thread on it! ( so you have to do it up to undo it, if you get what i mean)

keep your old hubs, and when you get time, fit new tapered bearings to them, then you'll have a spare set ready if you need to change a bearing!.
