Wouldn't call it butcher, the engineering work gone into that is spectacular. Congratulations to him is what I say! Can't wait to see the end result!

Personally I'd rather see something different than yet another Mk1 put back to standard, shoved into a garage and brought out only for shows. Cars were built to be driven.

Some people say I've 'butchered' my Pickup, and shouldn;t use it on trackdays etc because it's a pickup. Sorry, but cars that stand there looking pretty and have no go don't do it for me.

My 2 pence!
Dan :)

Personally, I'm all for mods and something different and do appreciate the engineering work, I just know that many would probably have preferred it to happen to a later model and keep the old old ones for preservation. Ok, 'butcher' was the wrong word.

So this is what happens when talent and money get together..... Sadly, I have neither.

I feel cheated - read through the whole thread hoping to see a well engineered mini but in the last couple of pages he's switched all attention to his Midget! Undoubtedly fantastic skills, but does anyone else think it's over-engineered?

Oh to have the space, time, tools and cash to do such a thing.

Looks great, very skilful guy, initially thought, why a RWD mini, but it's not there isn't really much mini left.

One thing did make me laugh, is he keeping the standard mini heater, must be because they're renowned for their scorching heat output!

He could have sold the car for more than it would have cost to make a GF mini shell to drop over the chassis frame and it would have made the project simpler and lighter.

 Yawn. You are off again drawing attention to the mini scene and BIVA. !!!!!
Can one of the mods change Bungles title to "BIVA Police" !!!!

Think the original MK1 was well past it's best anyway and better to see it re-engineered than the rot chopped out of it to reveale a huge restro job and inevitably another unfinished project.
