hi guys,

been quite a while since i've been online since my new job, on the plus side that has allowed me to save some money together and i was looking at getting an 16V engine conversion for the mini but i dont have the time (or patience) to do the work myself

are there any companies in the westmidlands that you can advise that could do this for me.

p.s im also looking for somewhere that will completely derust, weld/filler and respray it

Thanks a bunch!

Sam

Watsons are up in Wakefield. Worth a chat to them. 01924 361002. Not West Mids, I know, but they do lots of VTEC conversions.

SC are just down the road from us and I forgot them (oops!). Instantly thought VTEC. The K head conversions are getting quite popular. The idea has been around for decades, but only seems to have taken off in the last few years.

Of course, if you are thinking just head conversions, there is the KAD one too. Again, a well tried and tested product.

all speed do the k series frame think its liek £650 for frame then you will need other parts also watsons rally do the k series complete conversion for £4000 plus paint work and they do sell the frame seperate to

you're a star mate, thanks alot for the help on this guys. all speed is another one il add to the list to call then. i want to attempt the work myself to be honest with the help of my dad and a mechanic i know who can weld.
although depending on how much i can save it would be nice to have them do the conversion but i can do the paint work myself so could hopefully save a few bob then.

by the way ur project is very impressive josh!
