Hey guys, I need ur help.
I am currently in the process of creating my own online shop selling mini panels. Everything is in place to get started I just need to wait till I get funding.

I have worked out that I can sell all the panels I get from my suppliers cheaper than anywhere I have seen.

Want I want from u is just to know if you would willing to buy from me wen I'm up and running.

A bit more about my business:

I know slot of u hav Had problems buying online before. Where I will be different is, my whole business is online I will hav no other priorities and will bf in complication with customers as much as u would expect me to be regarding ur goods. ATM I will only be trading panels but my long term goal is to sell as close to everything you need to be able to build a mini.

Hopefully I will also be able to offer Tmf+ discount in the future as well

Thanks for reading this plz leave ur coments, advice and opinions. They will be very much appreciated.

Luke

i think to make the business a success is to sell both geniune and aftermarket if this is possible.

I agree, my opinion on patent panels is that I'll use them where they can't be seen, but I'll use genuine rear 1/4s etc!

I'd buy from you if the ordering process is easy, and the prices are competative!

There's a site which sells linked to a bike forum I'm on, and you have to email him for postage prices, there's no online payment or anything and it's a right hassle, so I don't buy from it ven though the prices are good!

The ordering process will be easy, similar to amazon. Also with an option to use paypal. I hav had a look at alot of other sites and can give u better deals even cheaper that way I hav seen on ebay

Hi Luke,

There's probably a reason you think you can sell for less than everyone else online, heres some costs you might not have thought of:
- if you've not got any experience with SEO and PPC you'll need to outsource it
- if you plan on selling on Ebay don't forget about fees
- selling non-gen panels you're likely to get high returns
- make sure you've got appropriate packaging, and add a picking and packing cost to each order to account for your time

I've still got a lot to learn about e-commerce but if you want any advice I'd be happy to help, I've landed myself a job working as an assistant buyer for one of the UKs fastest growing online independants.

Good luck!

edit: you'll proabably also want to sign up for an online accounting system to get yourself going

Yup, SEO and adverts. I have been looking at google adwords recently, to get my website into the top adwords results, I need to pay approx $3 per click. Which is expensive if you get a lot of clicks per day, yet non of those people clicking may purchase from you.

Good luck with the business.

Remember if you plan to advertise your business on here, you need to become a approved trader. See topic in the trading sections.

Hi, my advice would be to have competitive delivery prices, not just domestically but for international customers!

At $3 a click, take into account his conversion rate (purchases/clicks) is likely to be less than 1% :)

google adwords all depend on the market. I sell hosting domains and web design, so i am up againist godaddy, 123 reg, fasthosts etc to get to the top of google ads, so I have to pay more per click.

if you a niche market, with less competitors, then google adwords can be relatively cheap price per click etc.

Something like this, I would suggest building up a name amoung the online forums and shows first.
