Afternoon peeps.

I came across this site today. I'm unsure about the offsets, etc but they sell some nice wheels.

Does anyone know if any of these wheels (preferably 10" wheels) will suit/fit a mini? :)

I believe these are the wheels that are fitted to Mini World Project 45 Mini.

Personally I'd be a bit apprehensive about fitting quad bike wheels to a Mini considering they're not really designed to take the sort of weight and stress a car would put one them. That said there are some really cool looking wheels on that site it's a shame they're all so wide. >_<

They look somewhat like Gianni Potenza or 10x7" ITP Interceptor wheels?

this subject has been covered quite a few times before and i have personally looked into buying some myself in the past. Unfortunately their not legal to use on the road as they havent got the correct TUV and/or brisitish testing standard equivalent (sp?) to test theyre safe to use on a car. When i looked into getting some simular wheels the weight/load each wheel was capable of taking was very marginal when compared to the weight of a Mini.

So for this reason i decided against buying some plus if i had of fitted some i may have well of driven round with no tax or insurance as theyre not road legal. They would be perefectly ok to put on a car at a show as a static display.

I found that website via a MiniWorld wheel page here when I saw those 10" Wheel Mate P Series. Then did a search on google and this came up.

Does it mean that because it's on the MiniWorld site, those wheels will be ok?

Theres a difference between the Gianni Potenza wheels and all of those gold cart wheels, Gianni's wheels are TUV approved where as the golf cart wheels are not, they may look the same ish but i would very much doubt theyre as strong.

I'd be willing to wager the ITP and Potenza wheels are made in the same factory at the same time and are labeled differently when they leave.

I love these: Link

So what'd it take to get these on a mini in terms of testing?

People do get custom wheels made out of a solid billet - So wouldn't these come into the same class?

They'd both need testing to see if they're suitable, so isn't there an official test you could put the wheels through?
