NGK BP6ES or the Champion equivalent - i.e. standard plugs, no need to go to 7's or any other for that stage of tune.

there are better designed spark plugs with Silver for the core, Silver is the best electrical and thermal conductor.

The onlt thing that can be better about a spark bug is reliability and service life. I find NGK to be more than up to the job. No point spending loads on more exotic plugs claiming better conductivity as a modern resistor plug has a fixed resistance, so you're just chucking money away.

And whatever bloke down the pub says, spark plugs will not inprove the performance of your engine. Any test that shows they do is flawed, most likely using knackered plugs to start with.

try ngk bp6es's as a starting point. Then maybe go to bp7es's. If im right the spi coopers use 7's?

Hmm, according to halfrauds, using my REG it came up as me needing Bosch super 4's or the Bosch +1 super plus plugs

And for a 1.3 carbed non turbo it came up as me needing Champion EON 6 plugs

From what they stock.

Arent they exactly the same threaded plug anyway?

Also, whats with Bosch putting super in front of everything? :S

ngk bp6es's from a motorfactor will be fine, and less than half the price halfords will charge.

Had those in my 998 and they worked well, got some champion plugs in the 1275 and im not very impressed with them, not sure how old they are though, but they look pretty new to me.

Which was why i asked in the first place, to see which people thought were a better spark plug

Yeah, noticed the engine quite lumpy at times, wont run very well if its running at 1.7% on emissions, but ran ok when it was at 10.5%, which is way too much and hurts the pocket a bit.
the coil is new, the leads are new, the dizzy cap and rotor are new, so it just leaves me down to the plugs i guess causing the lumpyness
