I have to admit I'm gonna miss it  It's a lovely guitar  I just don't play it enough anymore to warrant having such a nice guitar just sitting around so am replacing it with a cheaper one unfortunately :-

Someone has just asked me for the serial number of my guitar. Is there any risk in me giving it to him?
Thanks
Adam

As far as I'm aware there's no risk. He probly just wants to check it on the Gibson site to make sure it's ok. I did the same with my (1971) J40

My brother had the left handed ( :- )version of this guitar! They are really nice actually!

Good luck with the sale!!

I see no reason why there should be any, i always ask for them when looking at guitars and give it out freely when selling them. Its really just to check its genuine, the age and is the type they say it is.
