I don't know if I'm being blind and missed the section. but would be nice to have a section dedicated to 'How to's'. Thus saving the ball ache of try to search the hundreds of unrelated posts.

My other suggestion is to allow the ability to search for 2 letter words such as 'OR'. So many times my searches dont work because I can't use the words. for example 'rod OR remote gearshift'

These could b e pointless suggestions and there are solutions I place but I have yet to find them :-

Why do you want to search for the word or? It will come up an awful lot! The search limits are to protect the forum from DOS attacks from robots and virus generators. The engine doesn't search for an exact phrase, or for all of the entered words unless you ask it to in the advanced search window. You don't have to tell it to search for either word in that way, there are shortcuts to allow you to control the search logic if you know them but they aren't words because words are what it searches for. Search shortcuts tend to be punctuation. Use the advanced search window for this kind of thing.

It is possible to use Google to search the forum if you find our current search engine too clunky, it is a bit old fashioned and really only easy to understand if you used bulletin board systems in the '90s. Invision promise a better search engine in the new forum software I believe but for now this is all we have.

I can see what the OP means, maybe not with the word 'or' though. When I was trying to find out some information on a CV boot it was a nightmare searching for it, all the search function turned up was boot floors and ICE installs.

It made me wary of starting a topic to find out in fear of getting told to use the search function, Google became my friend then though.
