hi guys first problem
ok so the battery the car had was duff swapped it and it just about manges to charge it but not run the lights too then it starts to really strain. the batt is a 575 or 560 amp yes its big but the car has some pretty high power head lights and a blower to clear the screen. plus on road trips i will want to run the satnav and poss phone charger
now the bike speicalist near me said the suzuki engine will have a magneto on rather than an alternator is there a solution or away to retro fit an alternator. guess what are you guys doing

On the minus with the gsxr1000 k4 engine we only run a small gel battery. Never had a problem with a flat battery and it gets used a lot at night. Has to be reversed about 30mtrs uphill to get it back in the garage. Also has a heated screen that draws a lot of power and a cigarette socket to power the sat nav or ipod. Think you may have another problem rather than just a duff battery.

whats the out put of that battery because the bike guy said he was supprized i was getting that amout of charge from the engine into the battery about 13.2 but if i run the lights it seems to drop to about 12.2 on the digital dash so maybe its just throwing all its power in to the battery or maube the magneto is dyeing
