91 studio2. i removed the rad cap & left the car running till the water started to boil in the rad. Turned on the fan in the car with the heater knob pulled out & only got a slight rise in temperture. What do you reckon, thermostat

have you got the tap on the cylinder head if so these can get blocked and cause this or you may have airlocks in the heater rad so you need to bleed it out

Ours was blocked in the metal pipe from the radiator hose to the heater hose. Not plugged solid, but it must have been over three quarters full of sludge and rust.
