Much more reliable, and has no dependency on the engine.

Minisport fuel pumps
I don't think there are any disadvantages to having an electric fuel pump over mech.

It will only cost ya, a fuel pump (best to stick with what there) 2 gaskets, maybe some fuel hose clips if they’re crusty and an oil change.hiya think i have oil in the petrol im quessing this is wroung and have been told it may be the fuel pump is this correct ???
If oil getting on the clutch to cause it to slip, it sounds like the primary gear seal behind the flywheel has failed.I had the same problem on mine and it was the fuel pump the oil was so thin it peed out of the clutch housing ,and clutch slipped like crazy very dangerous to drive the car like it you could granade your motor

They can provide a better fuel supply too, but probably only needed for more tuned applications.
So yeah, if you budget limited, the mech one will be fine.

yh im keeping it stadard apart from the stage 1 kit already on it next year will be fitting a 1275 so should be fineWell, they're more reliable IMO, the mech one will be fine for a standard engine, and if its a new one, should last ages anyway.
