Oil Gauge

rover 998 1990



was working on my dizzy cap yesterday and i noticed a sender unit sticking out of the engine just to the left of the dizzy i know this aint the tmp sender unit because that is on the right next to the thermostat housing so what could this be only gauges i have in the car are fuel and temp
ill try get a pic uploaded today if it helps any one

Yup thats the oil pressure sender switch, if youre fitting an auxiliary oil pressure gauge, use the t piece supplied, and refit the oil pressure sender, I think in the event of any lack of oil pressure, its much easier to see a light on the dash than it would be to look over at a gauge, as most of the time you wont be looking at it anyway =]

Its probably worth while fitting a higher pressure warning light whilst you are fitting the gauge. The standard one comes on at like 7 psi, which your engine is nakard by then anyway!
