Oil Leak

Hi my rover mini cooper sportspack has developed an oil leak, as a girlie useless with technical stuff, have got someone coming round
tonight to have a look, do you think it is going to be expensive. It only happens after I have been out for a drive then leaks a little
while parked on driveway. Checked oil and is still on maximum any ideas please.

Its a mini.................Might as well get used to oil leaks. The most common leaks are from the gearbox where the selector rod enters the box, The timing chain cover is another good one!! usually the oil seal for the pully. Then of course there is the drive shaft oil seals and the oil filter to engine gasket and the fuel pump gasket and the........................

Thanks for your reply looks like have to get used a few puddles on drive! Funny because it has been so good up to now anyway take the rough with the smooth...

Ours is fine if you back it up the drive, so it points downhill.
Drive it up forwards and it pours out of the diff seal.
