hi ive got a 84 mayfair and 1 rear brake drum is getting red hot after a journey, ive taken it apart and carnt see anything to eye ,has anybody got any ideas what it could be ???? thanks

brakes may be binding as there was a little brake dust ? what can i do to adjust if any thing

Check the handbrake cable and the quadrant through which the cable runs on front end of the radius arm. The quadrants can seize up and that will cause the handbrake to stay on slightly after you release it. It's a commmon problem and causes exactly what you are experiencing. Especially prevalent during very cold weather. It's unlikely to be anything inside the drum, unless the linkage inside the drum for the handbrake is seized up which can also happen. Strip, clean, check, re-grease and re-set, then it'll be fine.

thanks for the advice , have also noticed that i can wobble the wheel .bearing has gone i think, are they easy to replace ???]

Rear wheel bearings are pretty straightforward, just follow Haynes manual.
