Hi there I have purchased a set of cobra classic bucket seats and tilt/slide subframes from Huddersfield Mini Spares.
Went to fit them today and the mounting legs on the front of the subframes (3 Holes) are too long, I have read another post that says cut off the two lower holes...surely a mini specific subframe should fit without the need to cut?!
Secondly, the seat mounted to the subframe, in position (albeit slightly high due to the uncut frames) only slides back about 2 inches, it goes forward bout 6 inches! Rubbish considering minis are notourious for needing more leg room, not less.
Has anyone had this issue with the subframes not sliding far enough back?
I know I can buy extra brackets for the seat mounts but this 'package' cost nearly £300, surely it should just fit?
If i do get extra brackets for the seat mounts the catch underneath the subframe will miss the loop bit on the car so this will need moving!
Is it just me thats having issues?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

Contact Huddesfield, they are your best bet for advice on the seats they sell and use in their own minis

I have the same subframes and have cut 1 holes off. It's up to you how many you cut off it basically adjusts the angle of the seats.
I can't say i've had any problems with mine sliding back though they go back to within about an inch of the back seat.
