From what i have been told mini world will remain the same as it is now there will be no cross over between this and modern MINI mag, may just a few stories from major shows etc but one will remain classic the other new. If you havent got it yet then it is lost in the post or a ******* up at their end, give them a ring and tell them you have not got it and im sure they will send you another copy.December Miniworld now out is the last produced under IPC mags, January edition onwards is Kelsey publishing in Kent so there will no doubt be some changes to the printing and distribution happening.

hopefully there should not be any problems with distribution but with other company take overs you will just have to wait while it settles down.

Initially maybe, but if sponsorship of shows by 'Miniworld' like London to Brighton and Castle Combe continues, I am sure Kelsey will want joint sponsorship and publicity with their 'Modern MINI' magazine and its team which can only be good for moving further towards a more united Mini/MINI scene. IPC publishing have sold Miniworld because with the Mini out of production for 10 years now, it is inevitabily becoming a smaller more specialist interest less able to return mainstream magazine sales figures, whereas Kelsey specialise in these smaller sales mags.
Modern MINI have also strongly campaigned for a united scene and are happy to feature readers classic Mini features and stories..............Kelsey are not likely to allow their two magazines to fight each other..........
Also Mini Magazine has recently started to feature MINI news stories and become more MINI friendly as they also realise they must evolve and adapt to a changing market where new readers (and many old) are more open to a growing united Mini/MINI scene without feeling threatened by it.

I think also internet based sites and digital download magazines like ex-Mini Magazines Craig's 'LoveMini' are maybe the future:

i hardly think thats the correct phrase to use, i highly doubt anyone feels threatened by binis just simple fact there not to some peoples taste (like mine) and i dont really think its the smartest move reporting bini stuff in the classic mini magazines as those who dont particualy like it will either switch over to the other mag or stop buying completly...although its irrelivent for me as i dont buy either.
only thing im bothered about since the changes is as you said the events and how they are organised, particualy riviera run and castle combe. But who knows it might end up organised for the better, the rivrun doesnt seem to cater as much for the younger drivers as other fairly similar shows

............which is why the magazines are looking ahead for new blood entering the Mini scene, the long term enthusiasts are stopping buying the mags (as many often point out like yourself) because they have seen it all before. Ex-Miniworld editor Monty Watkins told me it was getting increasingly difficult to come up with new stuff to hold the interest of longer term MW readers and fewer young new first car Mini enthusiasts were entering the scene to replace them because of the diminishing supply of 'cheap roadworthy' daily driver Mini's. Also many parents have safety concerns about classic Mini's and actively discourage their sons/daughters getting one as a first car when there are now so many often cheaper alternative modern small cars available.
