Hi
I've recently take off my dash rail coverings, so I'm back to the bare metal rails.....just the way I like it.
The switch panel is mounted on the 2 (brass?) brackets which bolt onto the the dash rail which used to make it sit flush onto the rail covering.
So now I want to remove the brackets and fit the switch panel flush onto the dash rail.
Problem is I can't see any way of holding it in place... What am I missing?
Do the heater and choke cables lock it into place?
Thanks
Joe

Sits behind the rail & is held in by screws from the front.
Padded dashes use the same screw holes but the panel sits in front with little brackets coming off the cable fixings, held to the rail by nuts from the back

The hole in the rail of cars built with a padded dash is larger, the early switch panels won't fit. You need a switch panel from a late model van or pickup. These cover the larger hole.

Hi Dan
Do any of the online spares sites have this type, it seems minispares don't?
Seen this....

My current panel has 4 switchs, so this having 3 surely won't fit?

I've done this.. just trying to find a photo (no luck) although I haven't fitted it in place yet as I'm still doing the bodywork etc..
I believe my panel was of a Pick-up, as Dan says its slightly larger.
