Different 10" Wheels

I love the look of revolution wheels and a few others, but IMO small wheels should be wide and have a high profile tyre!
But obviously I don't want 10x10 but I was thinking 7 or 8. . . but most I can find for 10" wheels on the net are 10x5 or 6
Also, are there any decent tyres with a high profile that would fit such wheels? - I remember reading about thicker compounds that are soft which allows great traction, just enough give in the rubber but still firm like a low profile tyre . . .?

If 6 is the biggest I can legally go then that's what shall be in place.
I do understand I'll lose out on grip with wider tyres because of the heat displacement on them, and the aqua-plaining side of things, but some things are worth losing for an aesthetic gain!

Wide is sexy though, like a woman's hips!

Yes, 6" wide with a 165/70x10 tyre is fine. Personally I run 5" wide for my tarmac rally tyres on 10" and the tyres seem to sit very squarely on the rims with the sidewalls in the 'mean-vertical' aspect. A 6" will not give the same sidewall equality, but it won't upset the tyre either. I knows a very quick Mini driver who uses 6" Minilites on his 1330 cc rally Mini for Tarmac and he is happy with it. More than 6" would really be pushing nthe tyre effective envelope though and I think you woulod be disappointed with the result. It might start to look a bit strange too with wide rtims and much narrower tread width. It would also visibly break 'Construction & Use' regulations as well.
