Hi... i need a bit of advice...

I'm contemplating either selling my mini and buying a better one or carrying on making it how i want it...

I have done all the small things stage 1 sorted most of the interior ect ect but now the only major thing it really needs is a good respray to set it off. its covered in scratches and a couple of mismatched blue patches. But its relatively solid and rust free for its age.

i live in west london and would like to know were to start looking for places i can trust with my car, i dont want anything too fancy just a good honest job in a similar dark blue mine is now. I'd be prepared to do some prep work myself if it makes things cheaper as i havent got a huge amount to spend.

any ideas would be appreciated... i dont mind traveling to surry and surrounding areas if i know i'm going to get a decent job for a good price.

What sort of price do you think i'll be looking at for a respay and is this the way to go? I think i'd end up spending more buying another car :w00t: and it would be a shame to sell mine as shes perfect apart from the paint....

if your mini is what you want, other than the paint, i would go for a respray then at least you get to choose exactly what you want rather than just choosing between whats for sale.

Yip agreed
If it is solid and everything else is good, then a respray is the way forward.
It's unlikely you are going to get another mini as you want it, that will not need bodywork etc done cheap.
Respray wise, it all depends on exactally what prep etc is involved..
anything from A couple hundred where you do all the prep, sanding, filling, priming, masking etc etc etc and they just paint it, nothing else..! to a couple thousand for a mint job using special effect paints, depending on paint etc..

Speak to paintman..!! here on the forum..!
