Hi all
A friend of mine has a 2007 Mini Cooper S and the headlight beam is in the trees - She has taken it to her local BMW dealer a few times and they are saying it's set correctly - She is constantly being flashed by other drivers as she is dazzling them.

Any advice gratefully received

With regards to your problem, us lot on here are mainly classic Mini owners, so aren't as able to answer your questions as well as the guys over on either totalMINI or MINI2 to name a few examples. Have a try on there, they might be able to help you out

Thanks - I must admit I used this site a lot when restoring my 1980 but I was sure it had a BMW bit - no worries thanks for the constructive help

Cheers

Brilliant - thanks - I'll try that - It's got those super bright lights and both seem to be too high but it's worth a go - thanks

My daughters old KA failed an MOT on one beam too high and it turned out a bulb was in upside down. Given that this car has non standard bulbs, and from my experience of BMW they would have been a swine to fit, it's got to be a place to start.

Edit: Having said that, just re read and you say it has been back to the garage, would have thought they would have spotted it if that was the fault. Maybe put some standard bulbs back in and see if that cures the problem.

Good luck

Regards

Steve

Thanks Steve - I don't have much faith in these places - once they have your money etc etc but I'll give that a go - it sounds totally plausible - thanks

Bmw mini or "bini" as also know have an annoying set up of the lights lifting with the bonnet. Take it along to your local mot station and they should be able to tell you if there are any problems. A second opinion taken to bmw mini will help you get it sorted

If it has got Xenon lights in it, which by the sounds of it it does, then they have a self levelling system - could be its broken. Too much technology :)
