Yea man its not too shabby! I put the headlights in as well as the boot lid lock or and the chrome ash tray that goes in the top dash rail. You know. All the important stuff haha.

Cheers man I am mega happy with it. Just need to crack on and get this built now. Small bits and bobs keep turning up on the post. Today I got the wires to hold the boot lid up and a fuel tank neck seal.

Well got some bits done. Fuel tank neck seal is on as is boot lid seal and the tail lights.

 

 

 

Next step is fuel and brake lines so I can get the subframes on. I just need to get the tool to make them.

Not really done a lot sadly. New job with stupid hours means I dont get as much time as I like. I have also been using any free time to clear the garage out with my dad so I can get it in there for the winter so I can work on it in the dry and in the evenings when its too dark to work outside. I'v just been buying parts really.

Atleast you're still making good progress though even if you're not working on the shell, coming together little by little and looking stunning even though its half naked!

Right well my ATS classics have been dropped off for refurbing. No idea when I will get them back as I told the guy I was in no hurry so they may not be back until after crimbo.

 

I have spoken to retro retrims about the interior which he is gonna do for me. He just needs the seats which I am planning on giving to him at Bingley Hall at the end of Jan so I should get them back ready for the IMM next year. (thats the deadline for the car to be done)

 

I have put an order in with mini spares with lots of bits I need to get the car rolling. I just need to get a set of cooper s brakes but I have that sorted. I think.

 

Thing I need to sort now is the gearbox. Once that is sorted I can get the engine put together. Hoping this month my mate can take a look at the box for me and let me know what I need to order so I can get it ordered on my next payday! Running out of time very quickly now. Although I do have just over 2 weeks worth of holiday to use from work before the end of march so once the worse of the winter is gone I am gonna take that off and try and get as much done in that time. I would like to use that to get the engine in an running. 

 

Only thing I have really done to the car is make up the fuel line although I am waiting for the clips so I can mount it to the car hahah.

Refurbished drive shafts and hubs!

 

and for the time being stuck on a pair of 8.4 brake callipers just so I can get the car rolling. These were also refurbished not some long ago!

 

 

 

Also getting a bit annoyed with Mini Spares / DHL. Been told my items have been sent. Got a text from DHL saying my bits would be delivered yesterday. So my mum and bro waited in for them. Only to find a note saying they had tried to deliver the items but no one was in. They didn't even trying ringing the door bell. Never mind one of those things. Contacted them and said they would redeliver today and they never even bothered showing up. Maybe one day the stuff will show up so I can get my brake lines done so the subframes can go in and I can get her rolling again.

 

PS if anyone is have a pair of 8.4 brake callipers those ones will be for sale as soon as I can some s brakes. They have been fully refurbished with new seals will come with the discs and brand new brake pads. Not sure how much they worth but will take sensible offers.

Hope it turns up. And soon! Its got everything i need for the next bit of the rebuild and I have this weekend and Monday off so was hoping to crack on with some bits.

Well I picked up the bits today. After there ******* up I found out my closest DHL depot was opposite where I work so that was a result. I picked up my package!

 

 

Popped out this evening and got both boot cables fitted with new nuts and bolts. I had been worried about me forgetting and letting the boot down and messing up the paint so I am glad I got this done!

 

 

 

I am free monday so hopefully I'll get some other bits done!
