Well I had to work yesterday but my mum and dad went up to gaydon for the day and I gave them a list of course haha.

Few more bits. It was also my mums first car show. Not quite sure what he thought but maybe after a few more I can tempt her to get a mini haha.

Pun about gaydon and you being gay
The car is coming on well Jon... be cool to finally have it done and at another IMM! My first encounter with you was you driving past me up the big muddy hill at Cofton Park IMM in 2009, we didn't say hi, i thought the '50' birthday badge on the front of your Mini was far to rubbish to warrant any kind of conversation ![]()

Hahaha. Well I've learned that deadlines are never to be taken for granted
we had 3 MOT's, several several problems leading up to the MOT's and missed our original deadline by over a year
you come up with a realistic target to get a car done but then remember that between your deadline and the car being done theres that huge bit of life in between which tends to get in the way and make things not happen like you expected them to ![]()
Getting this done for the IMM will be nothing short of a miracle, but i'll support you the whole way! it can be done!

So again Ross came over to lend a hand, Cheers man.
We mainly spent the afternoon doing small odd jobs but the car now steers which makes moving it around a million times more simple.
We fitted the wiper motor and rack and made a start on some of the brakes lines and hoses.
I managed to find some head studs so there all on and fitted and just need tightening up.
Found a few bits that need sorting but otherwise a pretty good afternoon.
Few random pics.
That steering wheel won't be staying don't worry haha.
Wipers!
Starting to look a little more complete but still missing the main part haha.
Keeping this clean should be fun!
Random pic but I love this look. Shame I don't have any bumpers so complete the look.
Also massive thanks to Mike for picking up aloud of stuff from mini spares for me which means I can crack on with more jobs this week.
such a great build thread. Just a quick one though...the exhaust! How did you get it that angle? or is it a certain type of exhaust? looks amazing.
Also, is it a hefty job de bumpering the rear? thinking of doing this myself
thanks in advance =) john

Thanks very much!
The exhaust is a custom made Maniflow hence it coming out at that angle. I have never seen another like it.
The back of mine is not actually debumperd it just does not yet have any bumpers fitted.
I have heard its not rocket science you just need to do small section at a time.
Ta.
