I went out and had a fiddle. I got the clutch slave cylinder fitted and fitted a cheeky little grommet on the hose. Geoff-d will be happy about that,

Then fitted the vac hose and went to fit the air filter and it didnt fit. Turns out the carb is a 38 and the air filter is for a 44 so I need to fit a new carb.

Another slight set back but I;m hoping I can pick one up local and swap it over soon.

Cheers.

It is not done and will most defiantly not be done for Bingley.

On the upside my boot lid light turned up from the body shop only a year after getting the car back.

I picked up a Hif 44 carb the other day and spend a few hours cleaning it up.

My mate is doing all the brake lines on it over Christmas for me.

Retro Retrims is bringing my interior to me at Bingley.

I am hoping to get it in a body shop February time for a respray and get it back in time to put the last few bits back on and take it too Brooklands.

I highly doubt that will happen and it properly won't make it back on the road at all next year either cause to be honest, I just can't be arsed!

Right well I decided yesterday to crack on and get some bits done to the minis. I started stripping the clubman down ready for some welding repairs, I got my boot lid light for this car back from Fusion after a year of waiting for it. So I took the one of the clubby and stripped all the wiring, clips and lenses out of the one on tree as the clubby having a mk1 boot lid so won't need that one anymore.

I spent ages getting the lens clear again, I now see why the bulbs hardly lit the number plate anymore haha.

All put together and ready to fit!

pointless small update but proof I am now doing this again. I will get this fitted to the car today along with the new carb and hopefully a few other bits, I gotta go help some ginger kid fit an electronic ign to his clubby estate first. Want to get as much done as I can today as the car is being picked up this weekend by Sam on here who gonna sort the brakes out for me.

Maybe, just maybe the car might make the road for 2015!

Right well I got some odd bits done today.  Number plater boot lid light fitted and wired up, tail lights wired up, HIFF 44 carb fitted, fuel line plumbed in, main battery cable fitted to the solenoid, had a look at the carb before fitting it to check the needle and what not and also got the air filter on too. Huge thanks for Ross for coming over today as well!

Here are just random pics of the car in no real order what so ever.
