Starting to come together love how that is sat on those wheels and suspension :) if you ever sell those wheels you no where i am :P

These a set on eBay

Also if there the same ones I have seen there £250!!!!!

I paid £40 delivered from Holland for mine complete with centre caps.

In fact buying mine and getting them refurbed cost less than that set on the bay.

Right today I got one of the info windows fitted with the help from Simon who has much steadier hands for fiddly jobs like this, Its in and so is the mech so its all working, glass needs a chuffing good clean but that can be done at a later time. Issue I now have is I can't find the safe place I put the other window, I tucked somewhere it wouldn't get broken and I dunno where that is ha.

I also bought this just to see if it was a good as it seems

For anyone not in the know it replaces the roll pins on the gear selector, I would have not this fitted this week but my jack has given up so I can't raise the car up so a new jack is on the shopping list for the weekend.

Thanks about it for now. Ta.

Slowly but surely haha, you've got more dutch stuff on this car than english  ;D

Jokes aside the quick release gear selector thing, although ridiculously expensive for what it is, is far easier than lying under the car trying to find enough room to swing a hammer to hit a snapped 5mm drill bit to get the roll pin out. And I think it's just as sturdy as the original piece.

Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh in the near future

Damn this car is looking neat, I love how it looks just like a really tidy old mini, the mods aren't immediately noticeable but every time I look at it I notice something new and unusual. Making me want to get on with both my projects and pull my finger out!

Cheers man I go back on call for a week as of Monday so no time for mini ing next week. Hopefully the weather is this good for 2 weeks time and I'll be back out on it. Gutted I missed the POL but glad I stayed and did the car while the weather was nice and I had the chance.

Right so Ross popped over Saturday with his jack and we set about doing a few bits,

Got the fuel tank piped up and fitted ish, Bracket needs a lick of paint and then that will go in to finish that job off.

My door lock mech wasn't working when we were playing with the locks the other day. Ross spotted mine was missing a spring so he pinched a spring of a spare door mech he had and fitted it over to mine but it still wouldn't work properly so I need to get hold of a different mech, (Rosses one he had was for the opposite side)

We then set about to fitting the gear selector thingamabob which was a nightmare as we could not lift the car high enough its just about on but when my new jack turns up its something that needs tweaking,

We had ago at the exhaust which again with out being able to get the car very high was a struggle but its on.

Don't think its sat quite right though, Tip seems at the wrong angle and the back box is very close to the subframe and looks like it will knock when driving along so that is yet another thing that needs a little bit of tweaking.

Ordered a few more bits over the weekend as well so they should be here this week as well, annoyingly I now go back on lates so won't touch it this week but all the bits and the new jack should be here so I can crack on next week!
