Hey all. Just wondering can you use a credit card to pay for stuff on pay pal? I've only ever used my bank card so was unsure if you got charged for paying on a credit card.

Cheers Phil

yes you can use credit card.... i have paypal directly linked to my credit card so whatever i pay for the funds comes directly from my credit card within a day/2.... that way there are no additional charges but if you use it to topup your paypal account i asume there are bank charges....

You should only use a credit card online, paypal or not. You are protected using a credit card on the Internet. If someone fraudulently makes purchases with your credit card your bank is liable. If using a debit card it is the responsibility of the seller to protect your information and it is close to impossible to prove the seller is liable if your details are stolen.

Yes, you can even pay using a credit card if you don't have a paypal account through paypal... instead of logging on when requested if you look on the LHS of the screen you can pay direct... This way you don't need to have you credit card linked to your paypal account.

I only deal in small things on the Bay so i always send open P.O.Orders,sellers like that and do good deals.I have found them so far honest on deals but would have no legal chance of a penny back if they were no good.My Gamble on who i buy of. :)

I believe this is only the case if the seller is subscribed to paypal website payments pro, otherwise you'll need your credit card linked to your paypal account.
I'm not sure if it works the same on ebay (I choose not to use it), I have a feeling ebay uses it's own implementation of the paypal gateway.
