the little rubber gromit in the bulkhead, which the heater matrix pipe comes through, is letting water through from the engine bay

There isn’t a sealing grommet fitted as standard, just same foam/sponge stuff under the plate.

If you want to fit one though, you’d have to buy the ½” grommet like the one fitted on the drivers side and drill the hole out in the plate for it to fit.

That will probably be what’s left of the foam stuff.

I ne ... oh wait, Later cars DO have a rubber grommet thing for when pipes go through the bulkhead NOT the little plate. As I got one on my El Gordo (82 HL mini).

I know the part you mean, no idea what its called bar "a grommet".

pre 88/89 no sealing grommet, just a hole in a plate through the bulkhead crossmember

88/89 onwards, 2 groments through bulkhead on passenger side.

take a look at this:

http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=33082

It may be what your looking for if you have 1/2" heater hoses. I think these go through the plate.

Looks like later cars had grommets with part number of CLP6235 these are for cars with 5/8" heater hoses. I think these ones go through the bulkhead panel and are specially formed on an angle.

This part is not listed on minispares but give them a call and ask for availability they may have some in stock.

All detail is on the link above anyway.

All the best
