Hi guys will be registering soon but for now here is my 1991 Mini Mayfair 998cc (1050cc, maybe??) Flame Red!!!! Viper Stripes to follow (Im on Oldskoolbaby's Pc)

Last week went to the mini hospital for surgery following a crash in Birmingham. (Women Drivers!!!)

Bob done a pukka job, looks the dogs.

From here on, I'm gonna get the rest of thee bodywork sorted, minor rust spots (A-Panels mainly).

I've already started a search for some WIDE wheels, as you mite see posted by Oldskoolbaby(Brett).

Any suggestions from here would be greatly appreciated, I have some ideas but always keen to take onboard.

Have some photos for now but taken at night so will post some better ones in the light soon!!

This is the handy work of Bob at the Mini Hospital in Northampton. Top work I think, especially if you see the accident damage before hand. These are the same panels believe it or not!!!

Oh and he resprayed my door with out me even asking him too (Thats after he repaired the rust damage there too!!)

No not a mk 1 bonnet. but it is a mk4 grill.

Its actually a removeable bonnet where the top part of the grill surround has been cut off which was done by the previous owner.

I didnt like it to start but its grown on me but i'm tryin to think how i can put the surround back without changin the bonnet as all the existing bracketry and catches have physically been removed!!!!

Any ideas??

:cheese:

Yeah. weld on a strip of sheet steel along the bottom lip of the bonnet and pop rivet the trim back on. Before paitining the strip to match the car color, or at least something to stop it rusting.

Might be easier to sell the bonnett as a mk1 lookalike and just buy a new mk3/4/5 bonnet with the lip already on it?

Yeh i thought about that but its been cut to allow the pins to go through so its almost no use to anyone but me really. Mite try the welding idea though cheers
