today i went there again (against my better judgement) as i was visiting a mates workshop around the corner anyway. i dropped off a set of four 5x10 minators to have the tyres removed so i can referb them.

half an hour later i return and the guys quickly load my boot full of the wheels and tyres, and as they are always running around i just assumed they were busy, so i paid and left them to it, when i got home i unloaded the boot and discovered they had pulled a big chunk out of the bead of the tyre on all four! approx 3 inches long, and one of the alloys now has a deep graze on the edge of the rim.

now i must admit the paint is peeling on the alloys, so maybe they do look tatty, but there is a big difference between peeling paint and chunks of alloy missing!

and yes, 2 of the tyres are only just on the edge of being road legal, but i was going to give them to my mate whos daughter does ministox. whereas the other 2 have tons of life left in them, or at least they did.

2 weeks ago i took a brand new wheel and brand new tyre to them and they put an inch rip in the bead on that tyre too, as well as a small scratch in the wheel rim! now they 2 guys did say that they would be tricky, and it may rip, but i was shocked to see them try anyway before i could say anything, then hand the 2 of them back to me and say, "it will still seal mate"

going back a few years they did the same thing on 2 of my alloys then, also with 2 brand new tyres, it wasnt until a weeks or so later that i noticed the 2 bulges in the inner wall of my 2 front tyres

ALL have been 10" alloys, and all have been yoko a008s

personally it is my opinion that this is not good enough. and i wont use them again.

Not being funny mate, but it's taken you long enough to work out not to use them!

a lot of tyre monkeys don't have the machines to do 10 inch wheels any more

i would write a letter to them telling them your not happy and copy a letter to trading standards as well (and make it known you have)

i know what you mean about taking long enough not to trust them, silly me!

and shifty, i wish i had known! i have forked out a fortune on different wheels and tyres over the last few weeks, again, pm me with a price, and i can pass it on, i am still thinking about the mk1 lights by the way!
