have a little engine problem.

The engine runs fine - nothing wrong in that area but oil is coming out from around the bushes /fixings that hold the rocker cover down.

Only started recently. Seems to be forcing it out not just leaking.

Oil pressure is high...ish just under 70PSI and engine has timing cover and crank case breathers.

Anyone any ideas??

Cheers all

Andy

just change the rubbers on the rocker box they don't last that long anyway 70 psi isn,t overly high and oil gets a good splash about in the rocker area.

...Well that depends if the breathers are blocked up or reguarly cleaned out as they should be :D

Well oil leak was getting worse - covering most of the engine bay in oil

Cut the top off the breather on the flywheel housing this weekend and it was almost jammed solid with gunk!

The wire mesh inside was completely saturated. Pulled it all out and cleaned it. Welded it back up without putting it mesh back in.

See if the oil leak stops now! If it does will get a new breather!

Oil pressure relief valve was also sticking.

Hopefully problem solved...

Failing that I could fit another breather on the old fuel pump blanking plate. ( running with a facet fuel pump)

Appears so have solved the problem. Think the main issue was the blocked up breather on the flywheel housing.
Its weeping a tiny bit still but that is all
