Going to paint it Bright orange frame, with purple or yellow panels...
as for wheels 15x7 on the back and 12 or 13 x6 on the front...
Engine either a 998 turbo, or a 1275 turbo look for about 130-150bhp.
What u think?

you wont want anywhere near that sort of power, or it'll just be undriveable....
i would avoid a rear/mid engined turbo - don't fancy the turbo kicking in going round a corner!
wouldn't mind plenty of pic of the gearlinkage and the rear suspension/brake hubs - i want to rear mount an aseries using a front subframe

minimadjonesy does that mean you can get discount, id love a buggy.what sort of power would be useable, a nicely tuned 1275?
LOL I doubt it! Dave's a great drinking mate (you must have seen the funnel of death) but he's still a businessman at heart!
As for power, anything from a tuned 998 (unbelievable power considering the engine size) to a turbo! He did have a turbo one for a while but never used it on the road as it was too unpredictable with the turbo kicking in!
I'm on the waiting list to get one (once my missus clears me spending the money!!) and I'll be looking at a 1293 stage 3 engine for it! When I told Dave about my ideas his words were "you're absolutely mental jonesy!"!!

theres a couple of things id change on them if i got a kit but would need to see them up close to sort out whether they would be good ideas or not
next thing to think about would be what colour and wheels to go for, mmm bright blue and silver bars? or maybe something like dog said, purple or bright green

i've been keen to build something myself for a while and this could be ideal as there is little mechanical know how required!!
will definately be considering one of these once i have got a garage to build it in.

i think a slightly tuned 1275/1293 would be about right, how light are the buggies? i really want one now ive seen them in the flesh. is the fuel tank in the front?

The fuel tank is just behind the drivers seat and is an upright cylinder mounted on teh fram just in front of the engine! you can also get a "distance" tank that sits in the space directly behind both seats! Keep an eye on Mini Mag, Dave was talking to Helen (editor of MM) with me at the weekend and he's invited her and her lads down to have ago and write an article!
sod this bike engined lark.... i'm well up for doing one of these too!!!! we can have our own club.......
Already a club for them mate! try muddybuggies There are plenty of owners there to ask questions to! I'm also a member so keep an eye out for me!!
