your mini mafair works in the cold :dontgetit: very jelous! and not only that... how did you get your gerbil to stay out :D

You could try the old wooden clothes peg trick if the gerbil no longer stays out on it's own. :)

ooo :D that will save me holding it for ages :- poor gerbils falling apart :dontgetit:

I love Professor Green's new album. 'The bad boy's back boy, on the road with my ipod on singing along to black boys'.

Naturally assumed that's the part it was leading in to :-

Lovely Mini as well!

Whats odd is that this year my piddly little 998 needs a choke to start.

Last year i was running a full race 1293 (I call it fast road, but thats what the pro`s say the spec is) that didn`t require a choke. fired into life before the key got to the end of the stroke. Even in all that snow.

Should have recorded mine yesterday, took me 10 minutes to get it running continuously i think?

Sat in the car, started with choke, gradually bringing the choke down as the revs increase, turned headunit on, picked up remote, as soon as i changed track the car instantly conked out :S

Then after about 10 turns of the key it kept starting and instantly dying, fuel starvation i think (carbs knackered). Went out with an 8mm allen key i had lying on the rear bench, gave the float chamber a good whack, and the electric fuel pump a whack for good measure, then the float bowl another whack, jumped in the car, started first time :-

Warmed it up and away to minispares i went :D

I've noticed similar on my new engine. My 998 would always need the choke to start no matter what the weather, but my new tuned 1275 has started straight away with no choke, just a bit of throttle...

the word feltching is quite rife where i work. i introduced them to the word and now its said hundreds of times a day haha. i should have taken a picture of what i drew on the whiteboard in the garage office, it was garry (a guy i work with) in a gimp suit, with a tube that had feltch-o-matic on it, a little gerbil and a tube of KY jelly. and every other day a new addition was drawn on the board.
so last week when i finally wiped it off it had an extra dogs head gimp mask, a red spiked thong, a whip, saddle, a bowl of dog food with his name on (inside joke lol) and a noose hanging from the top (you know what thats for)

so yeah, not the most serious of workplaces with our twisted imaginations.
