You could try the old wooden clothes peg trick if the gerbil no longer stays out on it's own.your mini mafair works in the cold

Whats odd is that this year my piddly little 998 needs a choke to start.
Last year i was running a full race 1293 (I call it fast road, but thats what the pro`s say the spec is) that didn`t require a choke. fired into life before the key got to the end of the stroke. Even in all that snow.
