Please give your topic a title that quickly describes your problem. Just putting 'Help my Mini doesn't work' is useless to anyone trying to help.

I have a LHD that I got here in Germany and really want a RHD. Has anyone ever done the conversion? If so what all is needed and is it really worth converting or should I just sell it and get an orginal RHD?

Mine was a German left hand Balmoral in 1995, its now a Right handed BRITISH Balmoral :) I dont know when it was done. but it doesn't seem to give me any problems etc... although it is my first mini... so I dont have anything to compare to!

just wish I didn't have a hole in my passenger side carpet... (I like the leather trim around the carpet - by the way... is that a factory fitted option? or is it aftermarket to have leather trim around the carpets?)

Over and out...

I converted my Innocenti from RHD - it had been converted from its original LHD by an earlier owner - back to LHD and the conversion was really simple.
You need a new rack, move the brake and clutch cylinders to the other side using new brake lines, a RHD throttle pedal (the rest of the pedal box is interchangeable). The wiring loom to the steering column is just re-routed to the other side without any mods.
Just drop the aft end of the front sub-frame by about 3" to get the old rack out not forgetting to undo the front dampers in order to do this.

While the pedal box can be moved as a complete unit, for this age of car there are different LHD and RHD brake and clutch pedals. LHD pedals in a RHD car put your feet off to the left, your clutch foot ends up under the heater.

I'm sure you are right. The Inno was just a straight swap except for needing a LHD throttle pedal. In fact, I could have heated up and bent the RHD pedal but I listened to someone else - should've just measured it all.
Personally I would not change it, just leave it LHD. But then, I like LHD cars as they are so much nicer to change gear in if you are right handed.,
