Thinner tires will have greater pressure on them per square inch compared to wider tires. You should be able to cut through snow better with them.

But on ice, just low revs, high gear ect.

LOW gear!

lower the gear is wrong sorry dude because that will mean more torc which will mean more spin u dont want to spin all th timee

stay in a low gear and just don't accelerate hard, more speed control in corners and at junctions in a low gear also less likely to rev high to stop car from conking

I'll add from my experiance, I've got 2 minis a 850 with 10x3.5" falkens and a (now off the road) 1275 with 13x6 yokos and without a doubt the the 850 is MUCH better in the snow, I have been driving around in silly deep snow catching on the snump without a problem. Doing the usual pull off in second gear, one small incident where the back end thought it would be funny to try and overtake the front ice at speed (black ice) but luckily managed to keep it under control. I feel alot more confindent driving this mini in the snow than the other. Regarding the argument on which gear to use, I found it best to use a high gear if the wheels broke traction then a low gear when they regained tracion.
