Hi there, I need to know if there are any decent welders in Devon, I have a 93 Cooper that is in my garage and has been off the road for some time, I have got plans to eventually get her up and on the road again, however, there are a few rotten bits that I have discovered in the boot, and both inner rear arches and the seals, I do not know how to weld, I do not have a welder, the car is on axle stands minus rear subby and suspension, I have been promised help in the past all of which have come to nothing, im a nice bloke, honest! I can offer plenty of tea/coffee/beer/biscuits and a lending hand, im rather good at passing spanners! to anyone who may like to help a fellow mini nut, I live in mid devon, pm me if anyone can help, and yes I do belong to a club, but no help has come from the club, either no welding gear or I would have to get the car to them, which I cant at the mo...so any help greatly apprecitated!

If you really have found someone who is willing to weld your mini for tea & biscuits if you can get the car to them I reckon you should get hold of a trailer. Also tell us who it is :)

I live near kentisbeare, cullompton, devon and my mini is currently in a bodyshop called 'Phoenix Coachworks' (google them) they're based near Clyst Hydon. They're putting new door skins on for me, A Panels, Battery Box, repairing some general rust and dents, respraying both sides and installing Sportspack arches all for £600. Their work is truly amazing, I suggest you try them.

There currently restoring another Mini as well as mine. If you go see them, say 'Rhys' sent you! :proud:
