What should i use, didn't know whether i need heat resistant paint or should i just use hammerite?

Thanks :) ,i didnt want to put hammerite on to find it running down the back of the block. When i start the engine especially after spending hours rebuilding it.

Nope, you can also paint the actual Block with hammerite too.
Just let it have a good 24hour drying time before you run the engine.

Word of warning, paint stinks on manifolds!!!! I had paint near my manifold and it smells when burning :)

lol... you eyes were watching something else Jammy :)

and back to the thread... I use Hammerite on blocks and head, but not on the exhaust....

Jackman's is painted using coach paint... in a vain attempt to get the yellow looking yellow and not mucky brown...

Its a dirty yellow now john. Needs a clean now. Got a tappet chest leaking too :) Think i overtightened it and it bent :P

Also that is the paint he used, if you want the exact code ill get it on sunday.

JMan, just do what GW does when one of his engines gets dirty, build a new, freshly painted one and put that in!

What about the engine paint from MiniSpares?

Red
Yellow
Black
Green

(not 100% that the yellow is engine paint, guess you'd have to ring)

Also you can get engine enamal from Halfrauds. :dontgetit:
