1987 Advantage - obscure question - can anyone tell the the size and pitch of the nuts that screw on to the threaded bars at the rear of the heater unit? The bars that hand onto the two small brachets immediately below the dash.
Thanks in advance

defo 1/4unf - they're a lot less fiddly than trying to remove the heater from any other car

Got to agree there, very easy to get out, trying to get it in that's another matter especially the fresh air ducting to the heater.

1/4" UNF iirc
I'd recommend dumping the original nuts & replacing them with "wing nuts instead", as they make it much, much easier to remove and refit the heater next time!! (that is if you can actually get hold of some Imperial/UNF wing nuts, which can be something of a challenge in itself!!)
