Hey everyone. Basically, my brother is a mini-fanatic and has a mini city of his very own. The issue is, he is VERY difficult to buy presents for, but something practical and that he can use for the upkeep of his mini would be perfect. I've bought him vouchers for mini spares before, so something a bit more exciting would be better this time! Looking around the £10-20 line, so nothing too expensive either. Any ideas from people in the know would be fantastic and greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for your help

if hes into minis hes likely to be hands on.
i got a minature A series engine last year, which you build yourself, all the valves open and close, the rockers move, the spark plugs light up and it makes the noise of an engine working.

i saw one this year in the entertainer (the toy shop) for just over £20 i think.

Welcome thanks for asking us all.Books are great gifts,Haynes manuel is a Mini must have.David Vizard Mini book to,that is a really top old book to study.Car polish if you know the brand they like or washing products.Things they can use and enjoy. The books are about £20 each.Just buy what is a good gift not the price of it.If you want to buy them a mini collectors toy car in box post me on friends i will list some bargains, its only from my own model collection that i am reducing not a seller or trader.Like them going to good homes to keep them. Not a fan of bay having many.

They are good Steve to learn and build, fair price to.My local model shop is far to expensive in Solihull i would not want to take anyone in it to buy of them. They are on the Web.All are good local model shops have clossed down.Any good tools also make a top gift even one.A Battery Charger is a top one or even a good torch.Things one will use.I think you are a younger person shopping well.

If it were me, I'd be really happy to get Mini carpet mats with a mini logo stitched into them, always look better then generic ones that never fit properly. Cost around £15 for a set.

Car cleaning kits are always welcome

Replacement chrome shiny bits like windscreen wiper arms and bezels, grill buttons, come in kit form from places like minispares.

Loads of books about Minis out there

Mini accessories like keyrings, mugs, t-shirts, models. Should be able to get a few nice things for £20

If he's prett y hands on he's probably already got a (greasy fingerprinted) Haynes manual!

Screwdriver sets, socket sets, spanner sets (imperial of course) always very welcome

If it were me, pretty much anything mini related and I'm happy!

With a classic Mini a top gift is a range of Ajustable Spanners for the tool bag in the boot.Gifts do not have to cost a fortune.Even a good set of Screw drivers, things that a person will enjoy for years and use.
Its great you have asked us all about car gifts. If anyone collects Mini models post me on friends i have so many to find new homes for and do not like bay dealers having many of my objects that i have had and enjoyed looking at over the years, some are very old some are newer. :P
