Evening all.

I was casually flicking through e-gay looking at Mini's and came across one of the converted Domino Mini's.

I saw the door handles and wondered... and wondered abit more....

I think they could look really good done well on a normal Mini... infact, even mine :tongue:

Anyone have an idea what could/ already has been tried and tested and works?

I cant work out anything that wouldnt mean some serious surgery....

Someone on the forum put peugeot handles on theirs. I believe it takes a lot more work than it is worth to be honest.

Minis in Australia all have handles like that as standard.

Yea, the best way to do that is to get some handles off Ebay in Aussie, not sure but Japanese minis may of had handles like this too? Its probably easier to do with Dominos as they are fibreglass.

But they are just "Normal" handles. nothing "Mini" about them....

Just something different. The whole is kinda gonna be different with little touches here and there and I thought this could be a cool possibility.

if you really want to do this use the handles and metal cutout of a vauxhall corsa door as thyre flush fit and the 1996 onwards ones are the best but be aware that you will need to sort new linkages etc to make them work and the handle surround panels will need seam welding in to prevent cracking but is worth it yes

Not realy one for all this bidy mods stuff but i think its pretty cool when you ave no handels and the doors work off solenoids with the activeting buton under the mirror, thats bling! do it man, you dont mind hard work right!!

TVRs use the same mechanism, and I think it suits those cars!
