They pop up on ebay now and again but they go for alot. If not just buy some 10 inch steels and get them banded your self. I have a set of 10" steels I was gonna get banded. I'm not sure if I can be bothered now though lol.

EDIT: If anyone wants to buy a set of 5 OEW steel wheels to band or just use as they are then make me an offer. I doubt I'll ever get round to using them.

you'd be better off buying some normal 10 inch steels, and getting them banded professionally,

that way you know who did them and that there safe,

also, banded mini wheels dont pop up for sale too often as the people who use them, want ot keep them lol

id love some banded 10's but not gonna happen aslong as ive got fiestia brakes.

hello weller steels!

cut a mini wheel down the middle weld in a steel band between your bits of wheel

if you weld in a inch band you turn a 5 inch wheel into a 6 inch wheel

Adding a band of steel to make them wider.

Edit: Damn beaten to it!

Which do you want? Cooper S rims or Reverse Rims? Not one and the same.

Not that I can find you any but your search might be easier if you know what you are looking for.

They've got no tyres. I bought them from the classifieds in MiniMag. The guy had just repainted them but due to him changing to metro brakes he wasnt gonna fit them any more. He said the only thing they could do with was a coat of lacquer. I'll get some pics and put them up.

Banded stealies are going to be the fashion next year it would seem. There are a lot of people talking about doing it, myself included.

Reverse Rims came in two sizes originally, 4.5" and the rarer 5". Both have the same Dunlop part number of LP 918, which is stamped, usually near one of the hub cap retainers. The 4.5" were also sold as Special Tuning parts, the part number is C-AHT182, and have AHT182 stamped on them.

Not necessarily. Its strange things just come in and out of fashion, they dont necessarily come from any other scene. I am not into the VW scene, I just woke up one day and wanted to band my stealies! Its just one of those phases that are in fashion at the moment. In my opinion rarely is a fashion trend ever started by one person, its just something that is currently in. Its a little hard to explain!

Its like black wheels over the last two years, suddenly they came into fashion and everyones rocking up with them! No one really gets it from anyone else, everyone just wakes up one morning and decides to do it" They then turn up at a show and is gutted to see everyone else has also done it! :( Normally proceeded by annoyance and accusing people of copying them! lol
